PC Magazine has a review of the Proview RX-326 where they summarized the LCD as follows. The 32-inch Proview RX-326 ($949.99 list) is an LCD TV that offers high-definition resolution at an affordable price. It produced some of the most eye-pleasing imagery we’ve seen on a TV at this price, but our lab testing revealed some quirks that will disappoint video purists.
We found the RX-326’s dark gray bezel and matching, ellipse-shaped table stand attractive in an understated way. The TV’s side-mounted speakers are not removable, but provided decent sound quality with no signs of clipping at maximum volume. Its simulated surround-sound mode was quite effective at creating a sound field that seemed to emanate from all directions.”

RX-326 CRAP

4Anyone want a FREE 1 yr old RX-326? Mine died shortly after the 12 month warranty period. Apparently this happens to A LOT OF PROVIEW products. They are CRAP! 4 local TV repair shops talked me out of repairing them. One showed me 3 in his back room – awaiting the waste hauler. All had manufacture dates within the last 24 months (they conveniently mark the date of manufacture on the SN plate). CRAP!
I should have read the reviews on some of their retailer’s websites (Circuit City for example). Eveyone reports that they’ve been nothing but plagued with issues – static, buzzing, power drop outs, dead screens. CRAP!
And EVERYONE reported that they GOT NOWHERE with the warranty repair & customer service departments. Some sent their units in 4-5 times and they still didn’t work. Some still didn’t work when they got them back!! I didn’t get anywhere with them either – and they wanted a fortune to repair a piece of shit TV. And they’d only warranty the repair for 90 days… Oh, did I mention that if it failed in the 90 days that I HAD TO PAY THE FREIGHT TO SHIP IT BACK?! CRAP!
Did I mention that you have to ship your HUGE display to them for evaluation during the warranty period – they do not have repair facilities across the country (TX & CA). Under warranty the consumer has to pay the freight to ship it to them!!!??? No wonder they all end up in the dumpster!! CRAP!
SAVE YOUR MONEY and buy a higher end tv.
REMEMBER WHAT THE ROLLS ROYCE DEALER ALWAYS SAYS…. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
By the way, my 13 month old unit (Dec. 2006) is in the dumpster behind my office, for anyone that wants it. Dumpster pick up is on Tuesday! CRAP!
Oh, did I happen to mention that they are CRAP?

5OK I bought mine from rent a center with a killer sony surround sound system. NO problems as of yet. HOWEVER the frikkin minimum wage workers there have as yet to supply me with a owners manual and my efforts on the web have proven futile! Can anyone help a redneck out!? By the way, sorry to hear about ya’lls problems with said unit. My only complaint is the lack of rca jack shit hole plugs! P<S< I paid 500$ for my whole rig! Thanks and long life and prosper Scotty in Alaska!
