PC Mag has a review of the Gateway FPD1975W LCD Monitor where
they write “Gateway’s FPD1975W is a reasonably priced 19-inch LCD monitor featuring a high-resolution widescreen panel. But you’ll have to shell out more money to add features such as an adjustable stand and USB ports.
Pros: Affordable. Good small-text reproduction.
Cons: Weak grayscale performance. Adjustable stand costs extra. One-year warranty.”

1I just purchased one of these after Thanksgiving, and the image (even grayscale) is gorgeous. Almost perfect, from what I can tell. No dead pixels.
The only complaint I have is slight backlight bleed on the top and bottom of the screen – I haven’t decided whether I want to swap it out. I’m afraid of getting one with worse problems since I’m a little leery of Gateway, hehe.

2Okay, I lied. The one I bought is a 2275W. Still a great screen. >
